We are delighted to be running a Research and Innovation Work Group which aims to support new Overseas Secondary Mathematics teachers to adapt their teaching to the English education system.
This work group is designed to support overseas teachers in their first year in England to adapt to teaching mathematics. It will combine sessions that focus on typical pedagogy and subject knowledge from Key stage 2, 3 and 4 in England with opportunities to watch high quality live lessons and to learn from established overseas teachers. There will be a specific focus on supporting participants to adapt centrally planned resources to meet the needs of learners in their specific context.
