A CPD community designed specifically for secondary heads of maths
This year, our growing community of local subject leaders will work collaboratively to further develop coherence across their mathematics curriculum. Session one explores conceptual coherence, supporting leaders to reflect on the implementation of a forward-thinking, connected learning sequence. Sessions two and three explore representational and linguistic coherence, considering the impact of precise language and chosen representations on students' understanding. Throughout, leaders will have dedicated time to connect with peers, address key issues in Maths leadership, and translate these insights into practical implementation plans for their own contexts.
Secondary heads of department/subject leaders. The project is open to heads of department in schools already involved with Maths Hubs and to those who are not yet involved. (Prospective HoDs/subject leaders are not eligible to join this community.)
The Secondary Maths Subject Leaders Community project is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools
