Intensive Support is available for schools that have never engaged with an NCETM Maths Hub or, due to circumstances, have paused engagement and need support to get back on track.
This bespoke support is for schools in need of developing additional capacity that will eventually enable them to benefit from the hub’s standard activity. The intensive provision would be targeted at schools identified through a formal process based on agreed criteria (e.g., attainment level, Ofsted report references) and referral (e.g., PEIA requests).
The intended outcomes for Intensive Support are to:
For Intensive Support, a school is assigned an Intensive Support Partner (ISP) experienced in supporting whole school change. Intensive Support is initially, on average, 6 days of support with additional grant funding of up to 6 days available for colleague release time to implement the agreed actions towards developing sustainable change.
