Level 3 Maths Leadership Community

What is involved?

This new Level 3 Maths Leadership community is delivered locally by East Midlands South Maths Hub as part of a national initiative to support leadership of A level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Core Mathematics.

Meetings will provide national updates on Level 3 qualifications and opportunities offered through the NCETM and AMSP, while also creating a professional space for leaders to collaborate.

Each session will explore local priorities and challenges, enabling the Maths Hub to respond to the needs of the sector and strengthen support across the region.  This work will also support alignment with secondary or Post-16 Maths Hub activity your setting may be engaging with.

The first twilight session will take place on Wednesday 1st July 2026, 4:00–5:30pm.

Who can enrol?

These communities are designed for, ideally, an existing Level 3 subject leader; heads or deputy heads of department or KS5 leaders who will represent their institution/department

What is the cost?

The Level 3 Maths Leadership Community is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.

Who will be leading this Programme?

The Community will be led by our Post-16 Assistant Maths Hub Lead, Sam Blatherwick, together with a AMSP Local Lead.

Where and when?

The first session will be held during the 2025/26 Summer Term on Wednesday 1st July 2026, 4:00–5:30pm.

Further dates will be added here and shared with participants for 2026/27 as they become available. All meetings will be a twilight online meeting, held once a term.
